LEADERSHIP ACROSS CULTURES
LEADING & MANAGING
At VOOU, we are driven by our ability to help enable others to understand and respect cultural differences in today's global work environment, and to work more effectively within them to increase performance.
The World Today
Today, most leaders are engaging in cross-cultural interactions, having to navigate the cultural complexities of a multicultural environment (whether they know it or not).
As business becomes ever more globalized, leaders will increasingly find themselves working in a multi-cultural environment. To conduct business effectively, you need to be increasingly aware of cultural differences and to adjust the way you behave and communicate.
To their chagrin, leaders who possess the interpersonal skills and strong ability to relate to people within their own culture are often surprized to find them largely ineffective in other cultures. But we at VOOU are here to help!
At VOOU, we work with your executive leaders and managers to build cross-cultural competency and effectiveness to develop a more innovative, adaptable corporate culture.

DID YOU KNOW
Leadership matters in every culture, but leadership is culturally determined. Styles and approaches that work in one culture may be inappropriate and even counterproductive in another. Leaders in the U.S., for example, frequently motivate through incentives, but that approach is not always effective. The Dutch, for example, are likely to go out of their way to avoid being named employee of the month. Singling out individuals violates the Dutch sense of modesty.
At VOOU, we use a mix of approaches and tools to create a customized solution tailored to your organizational needs and personal motivations, from 1-on-1 training or coaching sessions (via Zoom) or via group seminars and workshops.
Everything we design can be delivered in any of these methods, giving you the flexibility to suit your needs. They can also be blended together to create a unique experience for your people.
